PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expandable wearing article including a fastening tape which is excellent in detachability but nevertheless is hardly detached by an improper operation or mischief of a wearer.SOLUTION: A fastening tape 7 includes a fixed area 70 fixed on a back side part 1R of a diaper and a free area 71. One face of the free area 71 on an outer side in a horizontal direction Y is a fastening area 72. The fastening area 72 has a square shape in a plane view including a pair of horizontal sides 7y, 7y and a vertical side 7x continuing to the horizontal sides. In the fastening area 72, a fastening portion 73 arranged with a fastening member and a non-fastening portion 74 not arranged with the fastening member are present. A corner portion 72c of the fastening area 72 is the fastening portion 73.
