A PAP device comprising a casing and a blower. The casing (4005) includes an inlet chamber (4006(1)) and a blower inlet chamber (4006(2)). The inlet chamber (4006(1)) having a casing inlet allowing air to enter the casing. The blower inlet chamber (4006(2)) communicated with the inlet chamber and structured to support the inlet end of the blower (4010). The blower is provided in the inlet chamber (4006(1)) and receives airflow at the inlet end of the blower (4010) from the blower inlet chamber (4006(2)) in use. An outlet end (4092) of the blower is isolated from flower within the inlet chamber. The separate inlet chamber and blower inlet chamber can provide a noise attenuation effect to the noise produced by the blower at the inlet end.
