PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processing system in which an image suspected of being a lesion can be selectively read.SOLUTION: The medical image processing system includes an image acquisition part, a first storage part, a second storage part, a detection part, and a management part. The image acquisition part successively acquires a plurality of images obtained by imaging the inside of a subject by a capsule endoscope in one examination in order. The detection part detects abnormal candidate areas from the respective acquired images. The management part makes the images be readably stored in the predetermined one of the first storage part and the second storage part on the basis of a detection result by the detection part.
