The body case 2 houses the motor M. The body case 2 has a brush mounting shaft 11 at the distal end thereof. The toothbrush 5 is mounted to the brush mounting shaft 11. The holding part case 4 is attached to the base end of the body case 2. The brush mounting shaft 11 has a cylindrical portion and a top wall. The top wall obstructs an opening of the distal end of the cylindrical portion.
