PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical operation support device capable of performing display which makes positional relations between a surgical instrument tip and an organ, a blood vessel or the like accurately recognizable during actual surgery.SOLUTION: The surgical operation support device includes a tomographic image information acquisition part 51, a volume rendering operation part 52, a surgical instrument image generation part 53, a tip position information acquisition part 55, an image synthesis part 54, and a display control part 56. The volume rendering operation part 52 samples voxel information in a perpendicular direction to a line of sight on the basis of the voxel information of tomographic image information to reconstruct a three-dimensional image. The surgical instrument image generation part 53 generates a three-dimensional surgical instrument image. The tip position information acquisition part 55 acquires information about the tip position of a surgical instrument. The image synthesis part 54 synthesizes the three-dimensional surgical instrument image with a three-dimensional image including an internal organ or the like on the basis of the information about the tip position of the surgical instrument. The display control part 56 displays a three-dimensional image obtained by synthesizing the three-dimensional image of the surgical instrument 33 such that the tip position of the surgical instrument is arranged on an intersection point of a line of sight from a prescribed eye point group.
