To provide a handle grip for a fishing reel and which is hardly shifted in the axis direction even if the reel has a flexible grip portion.
SOLUTION: The handle grip 23 is attachable to a grip shaft 22 fixed to a handle arm 21. The handle grip 23 includes a cylindrical portion 31, the grip portion 32, and a cap member 33. The cylindrical portion 31 can be attached to the grip shaft 22 so as to be freely rotatable and has a female thread portion 31e at the end part. The grip portion 32 has a shape which has an inner periphery 32a attachable to the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion 31, and in which the end of the inner periphery 32a is protruded and opened outward from the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion 31 in the axis direction and is made of a flexible elastomer. The cap member 33 has a first male thread portion 33a threaded in the female thread portion 31e, a large-diameter head portion 33b covering the opening of the grip portion 32 and preventing the grip portion 32 from escaping, and a protrusion portion 33c arranged between the first male thread portion 31a and the head portion 31b and capable of eating into the inner periphery 32a.
