An ultrasonic assembly that is removably connectable to an ultrasonicwaveguide of an ultrasonic surgical handleincludes a cordless ultrasonic-movement-generation assembly having anultrasonic generator and an ultrasonic transducerelectrically coupled to the generator and having an output couple, a shellhousing therein the ultrasonic-movement-generation assemblyand having a securing connection shaped to removably connect to the ultrasonicsurgical handle. The output couple is operable toimpart ultrasonic movement to the ultrasonic waveguide when the securingconnection is connected to the ultrasonic surgical handleand the waveguide is connected to the output couple.
