PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition obtained from defatted lees of sesame, especially the defatted lees of black sesame, having high possibility of being used as a raw material of a health food or a medicine for prevention or treatment of various kinds of diseases, and having medicinal effects.
SOLUTION: The medicinal composition containing a low-molecular weight compound of a protein such as a peptide, a polyphenol and a lignan glycoside, and having functions such as the function for reducing cholesterol, the function for preventing and treating fatty liver and the function for ameliorating the deformability of erythrocyte is obtained by hydrolyzing the defatted lees of the sesame, especially the defatted lees of the black sesame by using a proteolytic enzyme such as bioprase.
