The invention relates to a method for producing resorbable polyesters by mass polymerization, whereby the reaction components are melted and homogenized inside a mixing reactor. The reaction mixture is then transferred into a number of smaller volume containers, whereupon the reaction mixture inside these containers is completely polymerized, and the polyester obtained is isolated by removing it from the containers. The invention also relates to the use of the resorbable polyesters produced in such a manner for producing resorbable implants.
