PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile X-ray imaging apparatus for making it possible to mitigate an amount of work performed by an operator himself/herself after completion of X-ray imaging, to reduce time required for an inspection.SOLUTION: A mobile X-ray imaging apparatus 1 comprises: a main control unit 44 for controlling a drive system Q so that each unit in a mobile system P moves to its initial position and an initial position movement instruction unit 22 for making the main control unit 44 start the control. Thereby, an operator can move each unit in the mobile system P to its initial position by the drive system Q controlled by the main control unit 44, by operating the initial position movement instruction unit 22. When completing X-ray imaging, the operator can perform work required for completing the X-ray imaging during a period when the drive system Q is moving each unit in the mobile system to its initial position after operating the initial position movement instruction unit 22.
