PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide medical gauze in which an X-ray contrast member is woven while crossing in a warp direction of a gauze body so that the X-ray contrast member is easily reflected in an X-ray photograph during radiography, and in which a weft X-ray contrast member can be woven in the weft direction of the gause body simply, easily, and efficiently and with free arrangement.SOLUTION: In a gauze body 11 formed by weaving a warp 14 and a weft 15, one or a plurality of warp X-ray contrast members 21 are woven in a warp direction, and one or a plurality of weft X-ray contrast members 22 are woven by air jet in a weft direction. Thick step parts 19 are formed by the weft in positions at predetermined intervals in the warp direction of the gauze body, and the gauze body is cut off at the thick step parts. Middle ear parts 17 are formed by the warp in positions at predetermined intervals in the weft direction of the gauze body, and the gauze body is cut off at the middle ear parts.
