An evaluating method includes the steps of: suggesting the photos of persons which are a closeness object and a closeness evaluation reference to a subject as a comparison stimulus and a reference stimulus； measuring the pulse wave of the subject who is exposed to the comparison stimulus and the reference stimulus as a comparison pulse wave and a reference pulse wave； and determining the closeness about a closeness evaluation object which the subject includes by comparing the feature values of specific elements of the reference pulse wave and the comparison pulse wave.
