PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open type disposable diaper which a user can easily wear in a standing posture.
SOLUTION: The open type disposable diaper 20 includes a chassis 30 having: a skin abutting face 21 a clothes abutting face 22 a first girth area 23 and a second girth area 25 which are arranged in a length direction, width direction and length direction and a crotch under area 24 positioned between the girth areas. The chassis 30 includes a fastening system 31 connecting the first and second girth areas 23, 25 to both width-direction side parts 26. Temporary fastening means 50 which has a base end part 53 and a connection part 54 extending therefrom and can releasably hold the diaper 20 to the clothes worn by the upper half body of a diaper wearer is set on the first girth area 23. The temporary fastening means 50 is fixed at the base end part 51 to the clothes abutting face 22 and includes, at the connection part 54, a fastening element 52 connectable to the connection part.
