A transducer holder for holding a transducer in signal-receiving contact with a patients body, the holder comprising: a base adherently attachable to the patients skin and a retainer attached or attachable to the base wherein, in use, the retainer holds the transducer in signal-receiving contact with the patients body and retains the transducer in the holder.
