A fish-bite indicator (10) comprising a main body (12) with line engagement means (26) at an intended upper position of the main body (12). Attachment means (18) are provided on the main body (12) to enable the main body (12) to be connected indirectly to a bankstick or other rod support means when the indicator (10) is in use. The main body (12) comprises a plurality of nested body parts (14, 16) at least the outer or outermost one (16) of which is readily removable to enable the indicator to be used with a lighter and/or smaller main body (12).
