PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dye composition exhibiting high hair dye effect while reducing skin dyeing caused by a dye dripped onto a scalp.SOLUTION: The hair dye composition includes: (A) an acidic dye and/or a natural dye (B) a penetrant (C) a thickener (D) a non-pregelatinized starch and/or a derivative thereof and (E) an acid.
