The peritoneal dialysis system further has at least one water unit for preparing and/or metering water and at least one concentrate container, said concentrate container having at least one connector or being connected to same, and the water unit and/or the peritoneal dialysis device has at least one receiving area for the connector. The connector has at least one piece of information, preferably in the form of at least one barcode, which represents the quantity of the water to be filled into the concentrate container or allowing an inference to be made thereof, and the water unit or the peritoneal dialysis device is designed to read said information and carry out or trigger the addition of water in accordance with the read information.
