A box 2 for fishing tackle, comprising a lid 6, magnetic fastener means 8 for fastening the lid, and a first part 10 for fitting on the body portion of the box and a second part 12 for fitting on the lid, and wherein at least one of the first part and the second part comprises: a lid-fastening magnet 14 retained by a system of three interlocking components； a first retainer 16 retaining the magnet, a second retainer 18 retaining the first, and a holder 20 holding the first and the second. These components may clip together. The box may comprise compartments (44 and 46, Fig. 3) for holding tackle in the lid and body.
