An inhaler includes a medicine cartridge 1 having at least an ejection head 3 and a first electrical connection section 4 for supplying the ejection head with electric POWER necessary for ejecting medicine and an inhaler body 5 having a medicine cartridge mounting section 5a and an inhalation piece 8. The inhaler is so constructed that an electric circuit for supplying the ejection head 3 with electric POWER necessary for ejecting medicine by way of the first electrical connection section 4 is made operable by mounting and rigidly securing the inhalation piece 8 onto the inhaler body 5. The inhaler can be operated by a user with ease and the ejection head is reliably electrically energized only when the inhaler is operated.
