A control unit (123) of the endoscope assembly (10) makes wireless communication setting of the endoscope assembly (10) based on the captured wireless communication setting information, and detect that the distance from the image acquisition unit (111) to the monitor unit (204) is within a predetermined value when the wireless communication setting information is captured. A warning unit (129) of the endoscope assembly (10) gives a warning when the detected distance is within the predetermined value.
