A measurement device (A) includes a display section (10) capable of displaying measurement data obtained by measurement means (12, 13, 14a), a clock function section (16), an event time setting means (14b, 15) capable of setting the time of an event, and an elapsed time display processing means (14c) that start measurement of the elapsed time from the time of the event to the current time when the time of the event is set by the event time setting means and cause the display section (10) to display the elapsed time. With this arrangement, the user does not need to perform a troublesome task of calculating the elapsed time, and the measurement of a sample in a proper period of time after the event is promoted.
