PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dying pretreatment agent composition which can prevent a fault in hair dyeing caused by a remaining metal when hair dying treatment is performed to hair to which a metal remains and a hair dying pretreatment method.SOLUTION: In a composition for pretreatment when oxidation hair dyeing treatment is performed to hair to which a metal remains, the hair dying pretreatment agent composition containing an ingredient (A): cystine, and an ingredient (B): one or more selected from among aqueous ammonia and primary to tertiary amines is provided.
