An assembly 210, comprises a device defining a chamber containing a substance therein and sealable with respect to ambient atmosphere and a penetrable portion, penetrable by a filling or injection member, in fluid communication with the chamber, the penetrable portion having a penetrated portion containing a penetration aperture formed therein by a filling or injection member penetrating through the penetrable portion for introducing the substance into the chamber, and a covering portion 234 covering the penetrated portion. The covering portion 234 (a) engages the penetrable portion at the penetration aperture and/or directly adjacent the penetration aperture, (b) compresses the penetrable portion and/or (c) forms an interference fit with the penetrable portion, and thereby does at least one of (i) hermetically seals the penetrated portion from the ambient atmosphere, (ii) hermetically seals the substance within the chamber, and (iii) forms a gas-tight seal between the ambient atmosphere and the chamber.
