Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Alkalimetalldiformiaten, speziell der Kalium- und/oder Natriumdiformiate in fester Form, sowie in Formulierung mit mittelkettigen Fettsäuren oder deren Derivaten. Die Produkte welche einen hohen Gehalt an kurz- und mittelkettigen organischen Säuren aufweisen, finden in Tierfuttermitteln, als Säureregulator, Konservierungsmittel, Silierhilfsmittel und als Tierwachstums- und Leistungsförderer Verwendung.
