The invention relates to the area of the chemical-pharmaceutical industry and medicine, in particular, to an agent for treatment of dependence on ethyl alcohol and/or drugs, treatment of psychosomatic and neurological complications in such patients to pharmaceutical compositions containing this agent and to treatment methods for psychosomatic and neurological complications with this agent.The aim of the invention is to develop a new pharmaceutical agent with minimal side effects.The proposed therapeutic substance, for treatment of addiction to ethanol and/or drugs, for treatment of psychosomatic and neurological complications in such patients, which is presented by polyprenols of formula (1)where n=8-20.Therapeutic composition for treatment of addiction to ethanol and/or drugs, for treatment of psychosomatic and neurological complications in patients is suggested, which includes an effective amount of polyprenols of formula (1)where n=8-20.and pharmaceutically acceptable excipients, including carriers, and/or solvents.
