Dazu wird ein Modulatorfeld (3) verwendet, das von einer ersten Position in eine zweite Position bewegbar ist, und dadurch Modulatorfeldbereiche mit kleinem und dazu relativ großem Röntgenstrahlungs-Abschächungskoeffizienten gegenseitig ausgewechselt werden, in jeder der beiden Positionen jeweils eine ursprüngliche amplitudenmodulierte Projektion des Objekts erzeugt und jeweils ein der Projektion zugeordnetes Streubild berechnet wird.
