PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with troublesome mounting work and to enable the walking of a user with natural walking sensation while appropriately applying load isolating force in up and down directions and help force in right and left directions to the user.
SOLUTION: This walking assisting device 10 is equipped with a helping operation unit 11 operated to apply the help force in the right and left directions and the load isolating force in the up and down direction to the user H and a control device 13 for controlling the operation of the helping operation unit 11. The helping operation unit 11 is equipped with a body supporter 18 for supporting a part of the body of the user H, a help force applying device 25 for operating the body support means 18 to apply the help force, and a load isolating force applying device 71 for operating the body supporter 18 to apply the load isolating force. The body supporter 18 is rotated around three axes crossing at a right angle each other in the vicinity of the center of rotation of the pelvis to be matched with the walking operation of the user H. The help force applying device 25 moves the body supporter 18 in the right and left directions by the control of the control device 13 to apply the help force.
