An embodiment of the present invention relates to an apparatus for heating and cooling a root zone using heat energy in the nutriculature and a method therefor, and the purpose of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for heating and cooling a root zone to appropriately maintain the temperature of a nutrient solution in the nutriculture. The apparatus for heating and cooling a root zone according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a heat radiation plate including an LED light source device for heating a nutrition solution and a pipe in which the nutrition source can flow； a storage unit for storing the nutrition solution； a cultivation container for accommodating crops which are cultivated by the nutrition solution； a heat exchange unit for cooling the nutrition solution； a heat storage bath for storing heat energy received from the heat exchange unit； and a valve control unit for delivering the nutrition liquid to one of the heat exchange unit and the storage unit depending on the temperature of the nutrition solution.아래의 실시예는 양액재배에서 열 에너지를 이용한 근권부 가열 및 냉각 장치와 그 방법에 관한 것이다. 실시예에 따른 근권부 가열 및 냉각 장치에 있어서, 양액을 가열하기 위한 LED 광원 소자 및 내부에 상기 양액이 흐를 수 있는 관을 포함하는 방열판； 양액을 보관하는 저장 장치； 양액으로 재배되는 작물을 수용하는 재배 용기； 양액을 냉각하는 열 교환 장치； 열 교환 장치로부터 수신한 열 에너지를 저장하는 축열조； 및 양액의 온도에 따라 열 교환 장치 및 저장 장치 중 하나로 상기 양액을 전달하는 밸브 제어 장치를 포함하는 근권부 가열 및 냉각 장치가 제공될 수 있다.
