The present invention relates to a protein derived from mistletoe, a pharmaceutical composition with preventive and treating activities for fatty liver by containing the protein as an active ingredient, an investigation of the protein and a functional food. A purpose of the present invention is to provide the mistletoe-derived protein having 6 kDa in molecular weight measured by sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE), a functional food for preventing or treating fatty liver containing the protein as an active ingredient, and a pharmaceutical composition.본 발명은 겨우살이에서 유래한 단백질, 상기 단백질을 유효성분으로 하며 지방간 예방 및 치료 활성을 갖는 약학 조성물, 기능성 식품 및 상기 단백질의 규명에 관한 것으로 SDS-PAGE 측정 분자량 6 kDa인 겨우살이 유래 단백질, 상기 단백질을 유효성분으로 포함하는 지방간 예방 및 치료용 기능성 식품 및 약학 조성물을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
