PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply obtaining various differentiated cells from pluripotent stem cells.SOLUTION: Although a number of methods for inducing differentiation outside the body, as almost the only means to induce differentiation of the target cells from pluripotent stem cells, have been studied, there has been no established method for inducing differentiation except a part such as nerve cells, cardiomyocytes and the like, and in many cases the cells obtained have been also remarkably inferior in function to the cells developed in the living body. The method for obtaining the differentiated target cells comprises: transplanting pluripotent stem cells to an immunodeficient animal to form teratoma in the body of the immunodeficient animal then taking out the teratoma to the outside of the body and separating the differentiated target cells from the teratoma. This method has a clear advantage that no special differentiation inducing factor is necessary at all, and has another advantage that, because the cells differentiate as a tissue-like structure in the teratoma, even cells which have been difficult to induce in the conventional cell culture system outside the body are easily obtained.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 多能性幹細胞から種々の分化細胞を簡便に得る方法を提供する。【解決手段】 多能性幹細胞から目的細胞を分化誘導するほぼ唯一の手段として、体外での分化誘導方法が多数研究されてきたが、依然として神経細胞や心筋細胞など一部を除き、確定した分化誘導方法が存在せず、また得られた細胞も機能が体内発生細胞に比して著しく劣ることが多い。本発明は、免疫不全動物に多能性幹細胞を移植して当該免疫不全動物の体内で奇形腫を形成させたのち、該奇形腫を体外に取り出し、奇形腫から目的とする分化細胞を分取することを特徴とする細胞の製法である。本発明には特別な分化誘導因子が一切不要という明白な利点と、奇形腫中で組織様の構造体として分化するため、従来の体外培養系で誘導が困難であった細胞でも容易に獲得できるという利点がある。【選択図】 図1
