PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission body having wide emission spectrum width and strong emission intensity.
SOLUTION: A porous body 100 in which fine pores 120 are formed is prepared. The porous body 100 contains silica 112 and carbon 114. Then, the light emission body comprising the porous body 110a in which the amount of carbon is reduced is obtained by reducing the amount of carbon contained in the prepared porous body 100.
