PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid delivery device free from a needle-pricking accident.SOLUTION: A device of the present invention includes a housing that defines an internal space and includes a bottom surface configured so as to come in contact with a patient, which defines an opening. The device also includes a reservoir for holding fluid, which is disposed in the internal space, a needle carrier disposed in the housing, and an injection needle that defines a lumen and is supported by the needle carrier. The lumen of the injection needle is disposed in fluid communication with the reservoir. The injection needle can move from an initial position where it is disposed in the housing to a use position to which it extends through the opening, and further, to a shield position where it is disposed in the housing and blocks the lumen by a part of the housing.
