PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a technique for identifying an artery and a vein in ultrasonic measurement.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic measurement apparatus detects a scan line right above a blood vessel by using a reception signal of a reflection wave of an ultrasonic wave transmitted to the blood vessel, detects candidates of depth positions which appear to be a front wall and a rear wall of the blood vessel on the basis of the reception signal of the scan line, narrows down a blood vessel front-rear wall pair of the front wall and the rear wall from the candidates, regards the narrowed-down blood vessel front-rear wall pair as one blood vessel to perform determination of an artery/vein for each blood vessel, and measures blood vessel function information for the blood vessel determined to be the artery. Determination of the artery/vein is performed on the basis of the relative relation between the contraction time and the expansion time of the blood vessel.【課題】超音波測定における動脈と静脈を識別するための技術の実現。【解決手段】血管に向けて送信した超音波の反射波の受信信号を用いて血管直上走査線を検出し、当該走査線の受信信号に基づいて、血管の前壁及び後壁とおぼしき深さ位置の候補を検出する。次いで、当該候補の中から前壁及び後壁の血管前後壁対を絞り込み、絞り込んだ血管前後壁対を１つの血管とみなして血管毎に動脈／静脈の判定を行い、動脈と判定した血管を対象として血管機能需情報の測定を行う。動脈／静脈の判定は、血管の収縮時間と拡張時間との相対関係に基づいて行う。【選択図】図２
