PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ostrich fern powder in relation to a dried powdery food utilizing wild vegetable "ostrich fern", which is utilizable as a functional food raw material specifically by inventing a scheme in the production method.
SOLUTION: The method for producing ostrich fern powder includes the following process: the process of receiving a raw material where parts unfit for human consumption or defective raw material are/is eliminated the bubbling-wash process of separating foreign substances and the like adhering to the surface of the wild vegetable "ostrich fern" and washing it the branching process of slightly heating the ostrich fern with hot water the warm air drying process where the temperature in a drying case, an airflow amount and drying time are set up and the ostrich fern is dried until the moisture amount in the ostrich fern reaches to an objective one and the millstone-principle-applied milling process of rotating an upper millstone and a lower millstone to physically minutely crush the dried ostrich fern into powder.
