PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body odor suppressing composition safe to the human body and having high effect, to provide food and drink, cosmetics and a washing treating agent containing the body odor suppressing composition, and to provide a body odor suppressing method.
SOLUTION: This body odor suppressing composition contains an imidazole dipeptide compound and/or its salt as the active ingredient for body odor suppression. The imidazole dipeptide compound and/or its salt as the active ingredient is preferably at least one kind selected from the group consisting of anserine, carnosine, balenine and their salt. The imidazole dipeptide compound and/or its salt is preferably obtained by extracting at least one kind selected from the group consisting of fish meat, chicken meat and animal meat.
