The present invention relates to an apparatus for playing a ball, the apparatus comprising: a switch which outputs electricity in cooperation with operation of a switch for driving a power unit, such as a battery, and a motor; a conveyer belt unit such as a conveyer system in a factory which is rotated and transfers an object with a transfer stage; a ball collection unit which has a plurality of protrusion units such as hooks which can hold a ball formed on an upper portion of the conveyer belt and are formed at intervals; a driving device unit which hangs the endless belt on a belt wheel and drives the belt wheel with a motor; a frame unit forming the above; a wheel unit which moves a cart; a basket unit which contains the ball; and an authentication unit as a control unit which senses the ball with an image sensor for sensing the ball and authenticates the ball. As a size of the ball may vary depending on distance, the authentication unit as a control unit performs a preprocessing process for normalizing the size into a fixed size and removing an unnecessary image. When the ball is sensed, the image sensor recognizes a coordinate of the ball drawn to be sensed, and a servo motor for adjusting an angle of the wheel to face the coordinate outputs an electrical signal in the authentication as a control unit. In accordance with the output electric signal, the servo motor, integrated with the wheel moving a cart, and so on is rotated. The wheel is rotated toward the ball by an electric motor and reaches the recognized ball. When the ball is inserted in the basket, a hole for allowing the ball to be inserted in a pitching machine unit is formed under the basket ball. The ball is inserted in the pitching machine unit, formed under the basket, and a pitching machine. The ball is launched by the pitching machine.
