The invention is directed to methods of purifying a chimeric protein comprising subjecting the chimeric protein to a factor VIII-specific affinity chromatography, and subjecting the chimeric protein to an AEX chromatography； wherein the chimeric protein comprises a factor VIII protein or a fragment thereof. The chimeric protein purified by the present methods shows improved factor VIII activity.L'invention se réfère à des procédés de purification d'une protéine chimère, qui consistent à : soumettre la protéine chimère à une chromatographie d'affinité spécifique du facteur VIII, et soumettre la protéine chimère à une chromatographie AEX, ladite protéine chimère comprenant une protéine du facteur VIII ou un fragment de celle-ci. La protéine chimère purifiée par les présents procédés possède une activité améliorée du facteur VIII.
