PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved self-ligating brackets for orthodontics.SOLUTION: A self-ligating bracket for orthodontics comprises: an occlusal wall 6 extending from a base 1 and having an occlusal ligature wing 9 a gingival wall 5 having a gingival ligature wing a slot 7, which separates the occlusal wall 6 and the gingival wall 5 from each other and extends continuously in the mesial to distal direction and a slide member 13, which is held in a guide provided in the occlusal wall and/or in the gingival wall. A strand 12 protrudes to the outside with a lateral surface thereof and is elastically deformed, thereby securing a slide face for movement of the slide member. A first stop 25 is provided on the slide member and abuts the strand in the open position of the slide member. A protrusion 33 is provided on the side of the slide member that faces the strand. A second stop 18 is provided on the bracket.
