PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmic agent effective for remarkably suppressing the photodecomposition of an azulene derivative which is considerably decomposed in an aqueous solution by light irradiation.SOLUTION: The light stability of an azulene derivative is remarkably improved by compounding a sulfa drug to the azulene derivative. The agent is further compounded with a paraben which does not cause the change in appearance (clouding, precipitation and discoloration) and keeps the preservation efficacy to use as an ophthalmic agent. The invention provides an extremely stable ophthalmic agent usable even after the storage over a long period of time without causing the change of the appearance caused by the compounding of an azulene derivative or a sulfa drug with other components and keeping high residual ratios of both of the sulfa agent and the azulene derivative.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明は、水溶液中で光照射により著しく分解するアズレン誘導体の光分解を顕著に改善した眼科用剤を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】本発明は、アズレン誘導体にサルファ剤を配合することにより、アズレン誘導体の光安定性を著しく向上させるものである。さらに、眼科用剤として使用しうる保存効力を保持させるため、外観変化(濁り、沈殿および色調変化)を起こさないパラベン類をさらに配合するものである。これにより、長期にわたり保存してもアズレン誘導体またはサルファ剤と他の成分との配合に起因する外観変化を生じることなく使用することができ、サルファ剤及びアズレン誘導体の両成分の残存率を高く維持する極めて安定な眼科用剤を提供することを可能としたものである。【選択図】なし
