An apparatus (1) for sterilizing and drying at least one article (2, 3) comprises a barrel (10) configured to receive and accommodate said at least one article (2, 3) at least one heater (21, 22) configured to heat the air that is present inside the barrel (10) to a temperature that is in a range of 80°C to 100°C and at least one air flow generator (30) that is at least partially arranged inside the barrel (10), the at least one air flow generator (30) being configured to cause the air that is present inside the barrel (10) to circulate within the barrel (10). Consequently, the apparatus (1) is configured to sterilize and dry at least one article (2, 3) only by exposing said at least one article (2, 3) to hot air inside the barrel (10).
