The plastic body deforms according to expected application such that the metal film plastically deforms based on the expected application. The plastic body comprises a solid-state joint (34) between two gripping members (14, 15). The metal film includes a nickel layer with an average granular size of 100 nm and a copper layer located between the synthetic body and the nickel layer. The metal film on the tool is thinner than the film at other areas of the surface of the plastic body. An independent claim is also included for a method for handling a medical object.
