PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which reduces anxiety about leakage of excreta from a waist opening and easily relieves a wearer.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper 10 has a back and forth direction L and a width direction W that are orthogonal to each other, two waist areas composed of a front waist area S1 and a back waist area S2, a crotch area S3 arranged between the two waist areas, an absorbent core 31, and a waist band 80 arranged in at least either of the two waist areas. A housing space opening to the crotch area side is formed. At least on the skin facing surface side of the housing space, the waist band is arranged.
