PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipurpose container, represented by a container that has a storage chamber into or out of which articles can be loaded.SOLUTION: The container 10 has a container body 12, and an upper lid 11 that covers an opening 17 made at the top of the container body 12. The container body 12 has an external peripheral wall 20 on the perimetral edge of a bottom plate 14. The peripheral wall 20 has four side walls. Stretchable parts 32 are joined to both ends 33 of the front side wall 21 so as to be continuous with the right side wall 23 and left side wall 24. The stretchable parts 32 have the form of, for example, a bellows. The stretchable parts 32 can be changed into a pulled position and a pressed position. The front side wall 21 is designed so as to be switched by an inclined position around its lower end or an upright position relative to the bottom plate 14.
