The liquid reservoir (130) is used for providing a cigarette liquid to the atomizing component (212). A smoke duct (122) is formed within the housing (110). The atomizing component (121) comprises a heating pipe (120) capable of adsorbing the cigarette liquid. The heating pipe (120) is pipe-shaped and is provided on the pipe wall thereof with multiple pores (124) running through the pipe wall. A portion of the surface of the heating pipe (120) is exposed in the air within the smoke duct (122). Because the heating pipe (120) is provided with an enlarged surface area, that is, its heating area is enlarged and thus allows an adequate amount of the cigarette liquid to be heated, the electronic cigarette (100) is provided with improved atomizing effects.
