PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper allowing a side part of an absorbent pad to be easily set under three-dimensional gathers in laying the absorbent pad on the surface of the diaper.SOLUTION: The disposable diaper includes the three-dimensional gathers BS which include: a base part 17 fixed on the surface of a top sheet 11 a protruding part 18 protruding from the base part 17 pad connecting parts 40 which are provided respectively at front and back ends of the protruding part 18 and are fixed on the surface of the top sheet 11 so as to be separated an unfixed free part 19 located between the front and back pad connecting parts 40 in the protruding part 18 and a gather elastic member 16 fixed at least in the tip part of the free part 19 in a stretched state in a longitudinal direction.
