PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which is simple in configuration, small in size, and capable of miniaturizing a hard portion of a tip end of an endoscope insertion part, and to provide an endoscope including the imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 comprises: a signal processing IC 3 which is one of a plurality of electronic components and a flexible substrate 5 which includes a first bent portion 13a for bending part of the substrate so as to arrange the signal processing IC 3 inside the substrate, and on which the plurality of electronic components are mounted so as to be electrically connected to external signal lines. The first bent portion 13a is bent at a starting ridge line 3b, as a bending origin, of the signal processing IC 3, and conduction terminals 3a which are electrically connected to the external signal lines of the signal processing IC 3 are arranged in proximity to other ridge lines than the starting ridge line 3b of the outer periphery of the signal processing IC 3.
