The present invention relates to an anticancer composition including a GKN1 amino-terminal regulatory motif and more specifically, to the active region of a GKN1 gene having an excellent activity for inhibiting the occurrence of stomach cancer and inhibiting the metastasis of cancer cells. The GKN1 amino-terminal regulatory motif according to the present invention not only has an excellent activity for inhibiting the survival and proliferation of cancer cells but also halts the progress of a cell cycle. Therefore, the present invention can be used for a composition for treating cancer and a method for screening an anticancer medicine.본 발명은 GKN1의 아미노 말단 조절 모티프(amino-terminal regulatory motif)를 포함하는 항암용 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 특히 위암의 발생을 억제하고 암 세포의 전이를 억제하는 활성이 우수한 GKN1 유전자의 활성 영역에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 GKN1 아미노 말단 조절 모티프는 암세포의 생존 및 증식을 억제하는 활성이 우수할 뿐만 아니라, 세포주기의 진행을 정지시키는 효과가 있다. 따라서 항암 치료용 조성물 및 항암제의 스크리닝 방법으로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
