A method of treating hepatitis C virus infection, wherein the method comprises administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of a composition comprising quercetin as well as vitamin B, vitamin C or a folic acid compound. The method of claim 1, wherein the composition comprises vitamin B.3. The method of claim 1, wherein the composition comprises vitamin C.4. The method of claim 1, wherein the composition comprises a folic acid compound. The method of claim 4, wherein the folic acid compound is L-methyl folate. The method of claim 2, wherein the composition comprises vitamin C.7. The method of claim 6, wherein the composition comprises a folic acid compound. The method of claim 7, wherein the folic acid compound is L-methyl folate. The method of claim 2, wherein the composition comprises a folic acid compound. The method of claim 3, wherein the composition comprises a folic acid compound. The method of claim 1, wherein the composition further comprises one or more of the following components: genistein, genistin, curcumin, resveratrol, luteolin, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), coenzyme Q10, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) .12. The method of claim 11, wherein the composition comprises luteolin or epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). The method of claim 1, comprising co-administering the composition and an antiviral drug. The method of claim 13, wherein the antiviral drug is pegylated interferon alfa, ribavirin, boceprivir or telaprevir.
