PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paddy seed rice coating composition and coated paddy seed rice capable of suppressing occurrence of mold and preventing deterioration of seed rice, and preventing reduction of a germination ratio after dissemination even when drying of paddy seed rice which has been subjected to coating processing by an aqueous composition is insufficient or is preserved in a high humidity environment.SOLUTION: There is provided a paddy seed rice coating composition comprising (a) oxidized limonite and (b) a mold-proof compound having a phenolic hydroxyl group, in which a coating layer formed of the paddy seed rice coating composition is provided on a surface of the paddy seed rice for producing coated paddy seed rice.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT【課題】水系組成物で被覆処理された水稲種籾が被覆処理後の乾燥が不十分な場合や高湿度環境下で保管された場合であっても、カビの発生を抑制して種籾の劣化を防止することができ、播種後の発芽率が低下しない水稲種籾被覆組成物および被覆水稲種籾を提供する。【解決手段】酸化リモナイト(a)およびフェノール性水酸基を有する防カビ化合物(b)を含む水稲種籾被覆組成物とし、同水稲種籾被覆組成物からなる被覆層を水稲種籾表面に有する水稲被覆種籾となすこととした。【選択図】図1
