This chair type massager (1) has a seat (2) on which a user sits, a footrest section (5) which has therein a lower limb massage mechanism for massaging the lower limbs (L) of the user sitting on the seat (2) and which is located in front of the seat (2). A cover body (20) is provided on the front face of the footrest section (5).
